Lower Input Costs to Bring Down Poultry Feed Prices… 28-02-2019, by , 0 Comments 4 Views INDIA – The prices of poultry feed products are likely to turn cheaper in the next three to four days on account of lower input costs. Commodity expert Aditya Mishra told The Hindu Business Line that feed prices had been expected to turn cheaper by Rs.400-600 a ton by the end of this week. On the other hand, following a continuous fall in soya meal and marginal recovery in bajra and maize, prices have not changed yet. According to the sources, feed prices may drop by Rs.300-1,000 a ton for different varieties in the next 3-4 days. Layer concentrate may drop by Rs.500 a ton while Layer full-feed may ease by Rs.300 a ton. Broiler concentrate and Broiler full-feed may go down by Re.1,and Rs.500 a ton, respectively. In the physical market, soya meal dropped further by Rs.200 and sold at Rs.32,000 a ton. After witnessing a major fall earlier this week, bajra recovered marginally by Rs.20 and sold at Rs.1200-1,280 a quintal while di-calcium phosphate sold at Rs.34.70/kg. MBM was being sold at Rs.32.60/kg while maize recovered by Rs.50 to Rs.1,485-1,500/quintal. DRB eased by Rs.400 and was sold at Rs.11,000 a quintal while rice bran oil was unchanged at Rs.59/kg. Mustard de-oiled cake eased by Rs.300 and was sold at Rs.14,300 a ton. Broiler concentrate feed quoted at Rs.2,020 for a 50-kg bag while Broiler Starter Mash sold at Rs.1,530 for a 50-kg bag. Pre-lay mash was being sold at Rs.1,040 for a 50-kg bag. Layer concentrate 25 per cent was sold at Rs.1,490 for a 50-kg bag while Layer concentrate 35 per cent was sold at Rs.1,175 for a 50-kg bag. Meanwhile, a downtrend was witnessed in the poultry products market on Saturday. Broiler had dropped by Rs.9 to Rs.73-75 a kg. Eggs went down by 4 paisa to Rs.3.07, while chick went for Rs.22-24, unchanged.
